I liked Mazirek so much I pushed him to be as competitive as possible for whatever reason. This deck is gross. Enjoy.

The goal is to get Mazirek out as fast as possible, then sacrifice permanents to pump our creatures (while maybe also clearing the opponent's board of creatures,) then swing in for lethal with our creatures/Commander. The deck for the most part is about as optimized as I can get it without being cEDH. Everything in the Maybeboard is all considerations and or weaker versions of cards I already have. My biggest concerns are lack of protection for Mazirek, may start cutting out more "useless" or undervalued cards in favor of cards such as Heroic Intervention or Village Elder.

• Carrion Feeder: Sac outlet, gives himself double counters effectively if you have Mazirek out
• Caustic Caterpillar: Artifact/Enchant removal on a sacrificing body. Perfect!
• Gilded Goose: Generates Food Tokens (which sacrifice themselves), also sacrifices Foods to ramp
• Nested Shambler: Likes wearing counters, gives us more bodies when it dies
• Viscera Seer: Sac outlet, psuedo-card draw
• Crop Rotation: Seek out any land we want by sacrificing a land (likely for Field of the Dead)
• Malakir Rebirth  : MDFC Land, can also get a creature back that we want
• Phyrexian Reclamation: Cheap way to allow us to get things back from our yard if we need to
• Retribution of the Ancients: Uses our counters as removal (gets around Indestructible)
• Sol Ring: Duh.
• Vampiric Rites: Sacrifices to gain us life and draw us cards

• Reassembling Skeleton: Likes dying, is an infinite creature in this deck

• Zulaport Cutthroat: Benefits from creatures dying (which happens a lot) -- considering Blood Artist in this slot

• Fain, the Broker: Upside, followed by upside, followed by negligible text, AND you can potentially use him more than once
• Grim Haruspex: Draws us cards for our nontokens dying (which will happen a lot)
• Grismold, the Dreadsower: Gives us (and our opponents) things to sacrifice, likes wearing counters

• Pitiless Plunderer: Creates Treasures that sacrifice to ramp, like things dying (which will happen often)
• Savra, Queen of the Golgari: Huge value for us when we sacrifice things, forces opponents to sacrifice as well
• Spike Breeder: Infinite combo piece, wears counters well, makes sacrifice fodder
• Whisper, Blood Liturgist: Sacrifices 2 to get back a creature we want

5+ Drops: Show

• Archfiend of Depravity: Keeps our opponent's boards clear, also gives us INSANE value depending on how wide they go
• Clackbridge Troll: Strong political card, synergizes well with the Commander, gives us nothing but upside
• God-Eternal Bontu: Insane value. Gives us tons of counters, as well as drawing tons of cards.
• Herd Baloth: Redundancy for Scurry Oak, does the same thing but with bigger creatures
• Sidisi, Undead Vizier: Lets us tutor if we sacrifice a creature. Great value here.
• Tergrid, God of Fright  : Works well with Dictate of Erebos, gives us creatures from our graveyard OR anybody else's that we want
• Dictate of Erebos: Makes sure our opponents don't have a wide board, synergizes well with our Commander
• Moldervine Reclamation: Good synergy, will end up drawing lots of cards and gaining us a lot of life
• Turntimber Symbiosis  : MDFC Land, can also dig for a creature and maybe put counters on said creature
