A reworked Version of my Very first deck i have built, after i returned to MTG after over 10 years of not playing.

The idea behind the deck is simple: Get Vampires out, get rid of blockers, get counter's get bigger vampires.

I am not sure about Vampire Nocturnus, first because the deck is more red than black and second because i wouldn't know what to take out except Voldaren or Bloodline Keeper, but i really like both of them.

Suggestions welcome.

I've played a few matches with this last weekend.

Olivia Voldaren gets killed as soon as she comes out,if she isn't countered anyway. The sad thing is, i can't use her, the good thing is, she attracts spot removal and lets other guys come out and start their work.

I will also switch the 2x Shock for Doom Blade. While Shock can be nice to push in that little extra damage to kill of the opponent, it's kind of useless in mid and lategame for removal, except i also have a Stromkirk Captain on the board, which makes it kind of situational.

I got some problems with black mana, i think i will switch a Mountain or two for Swamps, expeccially with all those 2B mana costs. I'd love to play more dual lands, but all i have are guild gates. I'll think about getting one or two in, but generally i don't like them that much. However, that makes me vulnerable to creatures with protection from black. I will see how the local meta adapts and then see what i can do.
