Minor Changes —March 14, 2017
Loving this deck. Great at controlling the game and building up for a massive alpha strike. Just a couple of changes to help the control game.
Simic Guildgate ---> Baral's Expertise: With all of Rashmi's draw, I have more than enough lands. I felt it safe to cut out one. The Guildgate as the weakest land was the one to go. Baral's Expertise has great flexibility in this deck. I can either bounce opponents' stuff or bounce my own stuff to be able to repeat ETB triggers (of which there are a lot). Lots of spells in the deck qualify for the 4 mana or less free spell the Expertise gives.
Verdurous Gearhulk ---> Venser, Shaper Savant: No real issue with the Gearhulk, he was just more needed in my Xenagos deck that cares about big beaters more. Venser is another great ETB creature that can mess with opponents' tempo.
