Alchemist's Refuge works with Archaeomancer, too. Don't kill yourself with Mana Crypt while comboing off.

(Eternal Witness/Archaeomancer) are MVP in this deck, as they can also lock the board with Evacuation or Crush of Tentacles, leading to [8/8] Tentacle Beatdown.

Chord of Calling is the perfect toolbox for

• countering spells (Mystic Snake, Subtlety, often Torrential Gearhulk),

• stealing creatures at instant speed (Gilded Drake, Agent of Treachery) or

• recurring itself for a free, big Rashmi trigger withEternal Witness or Archaeomancer.

• Note: Clones give additional versatility for fun plays here.
