This is my Ranar, the Ever-Watchful deck a white-blue (Azorius) exile and foretell build that focuses on triggering Ranar’s ability to create a steady army of flying Spirit tokens while gaining tons of value from flicker and exile-based effects.

The goal of this deck is to stay on theme with foretell and exile mechanics, while using blink and flicker synergy to repeatedly trigger enter-the-battlefield (ETB) abilities. It’s more about outlasting and outvaluing the table than comboing off immediately.

How the Deck Works

Ranar’s ability creates 1/1 flying Spirits whenever cards are exiled from anywhere other than your hand — that includes foretell, flicker, and exile-based removal. This deck uses those mechanics to build both value and a growing aerial board presence.

Foretell Spells: Cards like Behold the Multiverse and Saw it Coming give you flexible plays and trigger Spirit creation while providing card advantage or protection.

Blink Synergy: Creatures like Felidar Guardian, Restoration Angel, and Brago, King Eternal repeatedly trigger ETB effects for draw, removal, or ramp.

Exile Payoffs: Cards like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling and Teleportation Circle ensure you get a free exile trigger every turn to keep building tokens and value.

Board Protection: Spells such as Eerie Interlude, Cosmic Intervention, and Lae'zel's Acrobatics can dodge board wipes while still triggering Ranar.

Value Engines: Rhystic Study and Smothering Tithe maintain your resources, while Cathars' Crusade or Court of Grace turn your tokens into a win condition.

Playstyle Overview

Early Game: Set up your mana rocks (Arcane Signet, Mind Stone, Azorius Signet) and foretell a spell or two to build momentum and early tokens.

Mid Game: Deploy Ranar and begin looping ETB effects with Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, Soulherder, or Brago, King Eternal. Use blink protection to keep your board safe.

Late Game: Once your Spirit army has grown, win through anthem effects like Cathars' Crusade or board domination with Day of the Dragons or Sun Titan recursion.
