A Rakdos elemental aggro deck using the re-introduction of Unearth, M20 introduction of Thunderkin Awakener.
After the recent ban of Faithless Looting the deck now instead plays with Insolent Neonate and Merchant of the Vale to get the round one drop of Lightning Skelemental.
The decks main idea is to re-use powerfull aggro cards like Spark Elemental and Lightning Skelemental with the help of Thunderkin Awakener + Unearth
, always keeping the pressure on the opponent and giving value to every card. The possibility to do damage from your graveyard will help you from running out of steam, and the ability to drop Lightning Skelemental to the graveyard in round one and at the same time draw a card through Insolent Neonate or Merchant of the Vale will give you a fast paced deck even with card draw.
Fatal Push and Inquisition of Kozilek gives the control that's needed, but if you want more you could always add another copy.
Dreadhorde Archanist have great synergy with the deck since all spells are 1 cmc, which is also the reason why the sideboard has Shatterings Spree instead of Abrade.
To try and get around the speed loss of Ghost Quarter the deck instead plays with Fulminator Mage, the strength here is that Fulminator Mage can be used multiple times through Unearth. There is a possibility to also play with a Blood Moon, it will however also mess up your own mana curve.
An easy problem would be any kind of first strike, since even a 1/1 first strike would stop the deck. Therefore Assault Strobe takes place in the sideboard. It can also be added to give the deck even more speed and steam, for example against gravehate. Since there is alot of gravehate in the meta, I've added Anax, Hardened in the Forge, Seasoned Pyromancer and Saheeli, Sublime Artificer to give you more steam.
So all in all, the deck is supposed to be a fast paced aggro deck trying to utilies the graveyard as much as possible. Please give me your thoughts and suggestions on the deck!
