Hello, his deck focuses on comboing with Relentless Rats. Maralen can help you build one of the combos easily. Mass Discard and Removals seem like a nice fit for this deck, since your opponents cant draw. When you get your combo cards, you should get rid of your commander if possible. Thats where sacrifice lands become useful.

Ad Nauseum allow you to get more cards at the cost of life, and they avoid the Maralen's effect of not allowing draws. Secret Salvage is just a masterpiece for this deck and allows you to get all your rats in hand. This can allow the play of sickening dreams for some massive damage, or infest the place with zombies via Zombie Infestation. Also playing Secret Salvage will remove the rats from your deck which makes easy for a big Ad Nauseum. Mana Crypt, Moxes and Rituals will help you get more mana, when you play that Ad Nauseum. Dark Confidant, Pain seer and Dark Tutelage, fit the deck there quite nicely and they can help you get a nice hand, especially if Maralen gets removed.

Patriarch's Bidding and Livind Death can bring an army of rats to deal with your opponents. Tutoring for a mass discard like Delirium Skeins, can easily ruin your opponent's plans, while setting your combos up. Damping Matrix is just a diamond in this deck since it doesnt affect us at all. And since we can tutor it easily, we can shutdown many ability dependant decks and commanders. Jinxed Idol is also nice with it, since we can give it and then drop the Matrix for a shutdown. Psychogenic Probe can be a problem and can help you deal with opponents that remove Maralen.

At the beginning of the game you should mulligan if you find yourself with a hand full of rats :) Anyway hope you enjoy and have fun.

P.S.: To make a budget version yoou can remove mana crypt, ancient tomb and such cards.
