This is how I think Pyre of Heroes could make zombie tribal be a legitimately competitive deck in modern.

The idea is a graveyard/sacrifice synergy deck attempting to get Gravecrawler and Pyre of Heroes onto the board to tutor up a 2 cost zombie every turn.

Companion: Lurrus of the Dream-Den : Show

There are no zombie lords in this deck in order to accommodate using Lurrus of the Dream-Den as a companion, because all zombie lords are 3 cmc. Lurrus of the Dream-Den is a better choice because it offers late game value and doesn't need an already established board presence for value. The primary use of Lurrus of the Dream-Den in this deck is to fully capitalize off filling the grave with Stitcher's Supplier , allowing you to quickly assemble the Pyre of Heroes + Gravecrawler engine, or grab the situational pieces in the graveyard.

Instant speed sac outlet and a big synergy card. Using it with Gravecrawler you can sac and re-summon Gravecrawler for as many times as you have mana which means you get a big Carrion Feeder as well as a lot of potential triggers for Wayward Servant and/or Undead Augur . You can also use it to protect your creatures from exile effects.

4x Cryptbreaker : Show

Card draw and the token zombie it makes can be used with Pyre of Heroes to tutor out a Gravecrawler or Carrion Feeder in a pinch.

4x Gravecrawler : Show

Core card of the deck it's great sacrifice fodder as well as an easy card to get into play thanks to Stitcher's Supplier

4x Stitcher's Supplier : Show

Used to set up Gravecrawler by milling it from your deck and fill the grave for Lurrus of the Dream-Den and Relentless Dead

2-cost Zombies: Show

Potential wincon and lifegain against aggro Gravecrawler & Pyre of Heroes lets you set up multiple Wayward Servant with ease and that engine alone generates 2 etb triggers per turn.

2x Relentless Dead : Show

A good way to pull other zombies out of your grave that you can triggers with Carrion Feeder . It's also recurring since you can pay for both of its death triggers at once.

4x Tidehollow Sculler : Show

Hand disruption and a key 2 drop of the deck for protecting your board you can tutor it out to protect your Gravecrawler / Pyre of Heroes engine or just pull it out of the grave to protect Lurrus of the Dream-Den .

4x Undead Augur : Show

Card draw that offers a lot of value with Carrion Feeder and Pyre of Heroes recurring sacrifices.

The deck is very creature heavy and with its low cmc Aether Vial generates a lot of value by cheating out creatures
