Classic Soul Sisters, but with a breath of fresh air from Theros: Beyond Death.

Soul Sisters

Explanation of Card Choices

Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant: The heart and soul (See what I did there?) of this deck.

Serra Ascendant: One of our main win conditions, hitting 30 life is no problem for this deck and a 6/6 flyer with lifelink is difficult to race/deal with.

Ajani's Pridemate: Another one of our main win conditions, this card is white Tarmogoyf in this deck. Doesn't look like much, but drop him turn two with a Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant in play and he's coming out as a 3/3 that only gets bigger.

Path to Exile: Generic good white removal.

Stoneforge Mystic: Adds another angle of attack with the midrange plan outside of the Soul Sisters package.

Batterskull: One of the best equipment to sneak into play with Stoneforge Mystic, most commonly fetched up when you are in need of a beater or need to get over that 30 life threshold for Serra Ascendant.

Sword of Fire and Ice: Probably the most generically powerful Sword of X and Y, this equipment adds additional pressure with the 2 damage and provides card advantage with the card draw.

Sword of Light and Shadow: This equipment synergizes incredibly well with everything we're trying to accomplish: it protects from 2 important colors of removal in Modern, it adds to our lifegain strategy, and it allows us to rebuy our creatures in grindy matchups.

Heliod, Sun-Crowned: The new hotness! In a non-combo context, Heliod is perfect for Soul Sisters as it allows our creatures to turn into additional Ajani's Pridemate if we have a Soul Sister out. The other draw to this card is its interaction with Walking Ballista: if you give Walking Ballista lifelink with Heliod's ability, every time you ping something with it, you'll gain a life and be able to add the counter back to it with Heliod, providing an infinite damage loop!

Walking Ballista: Mainly here for the combo mentioned above, but Walking Ballista is generically powerful enough to hold its own even without the combo.

Ranger-Captain of Eos: Ranger of Eos 2.0. This card can primarily search up Walking Ballista or Serra Ascendant, sometimes fetching a Soul Sister in narrow cases. He also protects our combo from interaction the turn we attempt to go off.

Auriok Champion: Incredible against Burn and Death's Shadow (just need to keep an out for Temur Battle Rage) as well as being fairly good against Jund.

Aven Mindcensor: Helps deal with library shenanigans, namely Tron, Titanshift, and Chord of Calling.

Celestial Purge: Generically powerful removal for permanents of all types in black or red matchups.

Disenchant: Would prefer Stony Silence in this slot, but that would be a bit of a nonbo with Stoneforge Mystic and company.

Dusk / Dawn: This is the current flex choice; hopefully should provide game against decks such as Eldrazi Tron as well as providing help in grindy matchups.

Rest in Peace: Best graveyard hate there is.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben: Comes in against control variants, combo such as Storm, and Burn.

+1s are appreciated!

Updates Add

Haven't touched this deck in a long time (Soul Sisters was my first modern deck), but the combination of Stoneforge Mystic getting unbanned a while back and Heliod, Sun-Crowned getting spoiled got my white weenie wheels spinning again!
