Possessed Journal

Artifact (1)

Creature (1)

The idea in this deck is try to control the game at the beginning, until tron is online, then start playing our big artifacts...

The finishers are Wurmcoil Engine as usual with similar decks and Metalwork Colossus, which can be played really cheap when we have some of the non-creature artifacts of the deck in play.

There are two possible locks that can be played: the regular Mindslaver + Academy Ruins, but the second is equally destructive, using Possessed Portal to make our opponent to lose their full hand and battlefield. In order to make the effect asymmetrical, we play and sacrifice Spine of Ish Sah in each of our turns, combined with Tamiyo's Journal creating Clue Tokens to be sacrificed each other turn (hence, the name of the deck). In case we don't get the Journal, we can always use two Spines, but it requires 14 available mana.

If we get Wurmcoil or Colossus to the battlefield before or during one of the locks, then we are almost guaranteed to win.

-- Edit - latest changes to the deck: ---

I have added to the deck some of the common pieces that were still missing, that is, Remands (a full set) and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. This obviously required some cuts. I removed the Negates from the SB (as we were adding more counters in the MB) and moved the Ward of Bones and a Spine of Ish Sah from the MB to the SB.

I also removed the Metalwork Colossus (though I really loved that it was a big body almost for free) and the Staff of Nin, and left only one copy of Tamiyo's Journal.

I hope this works fine now. I will try to test it next time I can go to a Modern event.

-- New Edit: --Added one Sundering Titan, it's too good to pass, I had to remove an island, though, as I didn't want to remove anything else... One of these days I will add the remaining common pieces I want, and will have to remove the ones that make this the "Possessed Journal" :-(

Added a couple Hurkil's Recalls to the SB, as Affinity is too fast for us. I removed the Imprisoned in the Moons as it's not so versatil, and we can always Repeal at instant speed.
