Took the Aura of Courage Precon Decklist with Galea, Kindler of Hope as Commander and tried to make it a playable Voltron Deck, without spending too much money. Just for casual playing.

Recommendations and input always welcome =)

I first came in touch with MtG during the Mirrodin Block. Naturally I got an affinity (pun intended) for artifacts and equipments. So since I started playing EDH I wanted to build an equipment based deck. So when Galea came out I saw my chance to do so (combining them with Auras gives an extra touch). Furthermore I like that Galeas ability doesn't go the usual Voltron / Equipment way, but nevertheless can be quite strong I think (in casual playing).
As with most precons the manabase is ok for mana fixing, but slow. So I cut out some of the multicolor lands for basic ones. Nevertheless, with 3 colors, mana fixing is a important point. Therefore I included more fetch lands and ramp that also gets us basic lands out. With that comes another good effect for this deck: the less lands there are in our library, the greater the chance that an Equipment or Aura will be on top.
Before this deck really can work, we need to get Galea out (obviously). Being able to look at the top card of our library is nice, being able to play it even more so. So we need to try to get Equipments and Auras on top of our library when we need them. As mentioned, we can reduce the chance of the top card being a land a bit by land fetch like Nature's Lore or Sword of the Animist. But we need more control about the top deck, so cards like Serum Visions or Soothsaying help us to manipulate our library. Sensei's Divining Top of course is the non plus ultra here.
Although Galea may not be the typical Voltron Commander, she still is a Voltron Commander. And what she lacks is protection. That's why we need cards like Robe of Stars or Shield of the Oversoul (doubling as Evasion).
The second thing Galea lacks is Evasion. So we need to include cards like Aqueous Form or Steel of the Godhead. Kusari-Gama is not classic Evasion, but I think it does an equal job, because no one wants all their creatures to die...and if so - good for us too!
Of course Galea wants to be well equipped for battle. Belt of Giant Strength or Colossus Hammer can increase strength massively, while Moonsilver Spear and Seraphic Greatsword give us flying 4/4 creatures, which I think can come in handy in a lot of situations. Sword of Fire and Ice stands for itself I guess - although with it we can't use blue enchantments anymore.
Last but not least, we won't be able to get all Equipments and Auras onto the battlefield by playing them from the top of our library. In those cases cheating them onto the battlefield or at least reducing costs is a nice option. Here we have cards like Armored Skyhunter, Danitha Capashen, Paragon. Puresteel Paladin doubles as card draw (which I saw as his main task in this deck). Mantle of the Ancients is our joker here, if we already lost some Equipments / Auras.
