Sideboard

Enchantment (2)

Magus of the Moon... Blood Moon... NAH! Plow Under is where it's at. I actually think Blood Moon is pretty medium in the current modern meta game because rakdos prowess and grixis death's shadow are some of the best decks and those decks aren't really concerned with blood moon at all. In fact, those decks sometimes run their own blood moon. If it turns out you are in a matchup that blood moon would be good in, well, siding in Choke will probably be an effective land hate enchantment anyway. On the other hand, Plow Under is always devastating.

The great thing about this deck is how much value you get off of cascade with Bloodbraid Elf. It almost feels like bloodbriad elf is a land destruction spell because of how often it triggers something like Pillage. When you cascade into an Eternal Witness you can also just recur your prior land destruction spells or Plow Under ... cruel.

Seasoned Pyromancer is also pretty insane because if you draw some of the remaining land destruction spells in the deck later in the game when they aren't as useful, Seasoned Pyromancer will often be there to bail you out by exchanging your blanks for some 1/1’s and fresh cards. Between Seasoned Pyromancer and Chandra, Torch of Defiance it feels like this deck rarely ever runs out of gas.

This deck is can challenge burn / prowess too because 2 copies of Weather the Storm and a Klothys, God of Destiny in the sideboard give plenty of life gain. Great to cascade into with a Bloodbraid Elf. You can even get it back if you need to with Eternal Witness. Love it.

Something else interesting about the sideboard is that this deck sort of breaks the symmetry of Engineered Explosives. If you play Engineered Explosives on 0, the only thing in your deck it hits is tokens from Seasoned Pyromancer. If you play it on 2, then it only hits Wrenn and Six, which you could sideboard out if you wanted to. So, Engineered Explosives on 0 or 2 doesn't affect you at all and you can get it back with Eternal Witness to just keep sweeping the board.
