We all know Archaeomancer + Ghostly Flicker + Peregrine Drake is a powerhouse infinite combo in pauperEDH.

What better than to have a piece of it in the command zone?

Better yet, Possessed Skaab is a super Archaeomancer mashed with Gravedigger. Problems with the traditional combo is that there isnt many ways to find Peregrine Drake. with Skaab, we can mill ourself much faster than typical draw spells, and dig fast for the drake, then cast Skaab to return the drake to hand.

Since he is a commander, we dont care about the 2nd clause anyway, as we are OK sending him to the command zone.

Step 1, Ramp

10 mana rocks

Deranged Assistant serves double duty here

Step 2, Mill YOURSELF

most of the mill cards are also cantrips/ recursion, so you dont lose card advantage

Step 3, Take back ANYTHING from the grave (except artifacts and enchantments)

Artifacts in this deck is just ramp, so we can let it go.

The only enchantment is rhystic study. Once you reach midgame, it isnt very relevant anyway

We have creature recursion Footbottom Feast, Cadaver Imp, Gravedigger, mainly to get back the combo pieces Peregrine Drake, Archaeomancer and its siblings. We can also get back removal creatures like Crypt Rats, Slum Reaper or lifegain/ mill Windgrace Acolyte to dig further.

Spell recursion Mystic Sanctuary, Archaeomancer etc to get back Ghostly Flicker for the win, any mill spell to dig further, or any counterspell.

Step 4, Win

Archaeomancer + Ghostly Flicker + Peregrine Drake for infinite mana.

• Alternative archaeomancer with Possessed Skaab, Scrivener, Mnemonic Wall, Salvager of Secrets

• Alternative Peregrine drake with Cloud of Faeries + High Tide and 2 islands

With this infinite mana, change the flicker target from peregrine drake to another creature.

If you only have Ghostly Flicker + Peregrine Drake + Possessed Skaab , use the last ETB of Possessed Skaab to get back Archaeomancer from the grave. Now you have 2 recursion creatures. Then proceed to win with the following

Archaeomancer + Ghostly Flicker + Mnemonic Wall Show

With infinite spell recursion,

• Draw your deck with any draw spell until you find a wincon

• Mill your opponents out with Winds of Rebuke, Stream of Thought, Thought Scour (limited to your deck size)

• Return all opponents's permanents with Capsize

• Brainspoil: for Peregrine Drake. Yes, this is our main wincon. You can tutor for Windgrace Acolyte if somehow you need to dig further or gain life, but really, you're just digging for the drake anyway.

To discuss certain card choices, arranged in alphabetical order

• Ashes to Ashes Double removal with exile effect? TAKE IT. 5 life is peanuts with this effect

• Balustrade Spy Flying blocker. Targetted player means we can use it to mill ourselves early, then mill opponents lategame

• Brainspoil The ONLY tutor for Peregrine Drake. Has the trivial mode of removal

• Cloud of Faeries Backup to Peregrine Drake

• Dispel Same as foil, cheap counterspell to protect combo turn

• Displace see Ghostly Flicker

• Foil If Force of Will is such a good card, then the pauper version should surprise many as well. We need free counterspells to protect the combo turn

• Footbottom Feast After milling ourselves out, you can start putting the value creatures back on top

• Ghastly Demise Almost like Swords to Plowshares. Efficient removal since our grave is almost always filled, with higher count than any creature's CMC

• Ghostly Flicker The main part of this deck combo. But also to flicker any creatures for value. Flicker lands Mystic Sanctuary, Bojuka Bog, Mortuary Mire for value.

• Memory Lapse A cheap hard-counter. We can allways mill out that card anyway.

• Merrow Witsniper See Balustrade Spy

• Siren's Ruse a backup flicker effect. This can be used on our ETBs, or 'saving' our commander from removal, as the commander is already 5cmc and expensive

• Slum Reaper Creature based semi-boardwipe, repeatable with flickers. We are OK letting our creatures go to the grave anyway

• Stream of Thought Earlygame mills ourself, lategame infinte mana outlet to mill our opponents. Also has the added benefit from shuffling our grave incase we are too close to decking out.

• Winds of Rebuke A removal, earlygame mills us, lategame infinite wincon, and can be used to 'save' our commander as well

• Windgrace Acolyte Self mill, and a flying blocker. The lifegain can help in a pinch. Swappable with Skymarch Bloodletter
