Sideboard


The basic plan of this deck is to have Oboro Breezecaller , a land that taps for 2 (like Simic Growth Chamber ) and a Llanowar Scout enchanted with Freed from the Real this lets is get infinite landfall triggers by repeatedly using the breezecaller to untap the double land, and bounce a second land, which the scout will play again.

With infinite landfall, we can get infinite life with Jaddi Offshoot , Grazing Gladehart or Radiant Fountain , and more importantly, infinite damage with Sunscorched Desert .

To help get our combo pieces, we have Muddle the Mixture which we can transmute to find pieces, along with Crop Rotation and Expedition Map which not only let us get our combo lands, but because they can be activated at instant speed, they let us get our utility lands like Sejiri Steppe , Bojuka Bog , or Khalni Garden on our opponent's turn.

To protect our combo pieces we have Turn Aside and Muddle the Mixture to counter removal, Pulse of Murasa and Haunted Fengraf to get our pieces back from the graveyard. In addition in the sideboard we have a few cards that are the reason we are splashing white namely Circle of Protection: Green and Standard Bearer , as the splash really does not hurt or mana base (since we were already playing Sejiri Steppe ) and gives us some extra ways to protect our combo.

  • Edit 1: After some testing and some suggestions, I have streamlined the deck to focus entirely on the main combo, and its been a lot more successful in my testing.
