Pauper Gearhulk

Pauper

hothmagoth

Sideboard

After making my own variant of the Banishing Knack deck using Mirran Spy , Glaze Fiend and Nettle Drone , respectively I decided there was a better way to go infinite with this combo.

In walked Glassdust Hulk. I'd never given this card credence when I came across it the first time, but it's impressive for a common. Pseudo-prowess - based on artifacts entering the battlefield, and it becomes unblockable. The biggest issue with the Glaze Fiend combo, was that there was a way to block him. The sideboard is how you mold your play style and effectiveness with the hulk, but the constant is that this dude gets huge and becomes unblockable after any artifacts you control have entered the battlefield.

Test games proved I needed to be able to go looking for my combo pieces or the hulk itself. I'm blown away how often you won't ever find the friggin namesake of the deck.

I am strongly considering putting in some way to bring back the hulk if he ends up in the graveyard. I'd love some feedback as to how I could fix this one up!
