Maybeboard

So the goal for this one is to essentially have a BG control deck using Liquimetal Coating as my MVP and comboing it with Green's myriad assortment of artifact hate to get rid of their board. If those don't work, Executioner's Capsule and Ratchet Bomb do the trick. If any of my artifacts go away, Glissa, the Traitor can bring them back with relative ease. The Capsule and Ratchet Bomb immediately go back to my hand if she's out, so that's constant removal. If I can't find Glissa, Treasured Find will generally give me back what I need.

On the offense, I've got Phylactery Lich and Rust Scarab . Using Liquimetal Coating, I can put a Phylactery counter on my lands, then on the Lich himself if I can cast another one. With Rust Scarab, I can use Liquimetal coating to turn whatever they block with into an artifact, allowing the scarab's ability to destroy them. Glissa would stay on defense, since FS and DT together will take care of most attackers. The Lightning Greaves would make sure they can't get rid of whomever I need alive in the moment, so that's nice.

But of course, that's just how this deck handles creatures. What I really want to do with it is use Liquimetal Coating to turn an opponent's land into an artifact, then use Glissa's Scorn or Putrefy to destroy it and narrow their casting options. If I'm feeling particularly vile, I can combo LC with Splinter to get rid of all of their lands. If they can't cast anything, they can't stop my Lichs & Scarabs.

I've yet to do anything at a tournament with this, but it's served me well in some friendly games. I definitely want to switch out some Golgari Guildgates with something better, but I'm not sure what.

It might take me out of Modern, but I'd love to put a Guardian Beast or two in there and equip him with a Whispersilk Cloak. Then I could even use Liquimetal Coating to turn my own permanents invincible/hexproof whenever the situation calls for it.

Any suggestions with this would be appreciated!

Updates Add

After playtesting it a bit more, I decided to take out 2x Rust Scarab and replace them with 2x Glissa Sunseeker. Additionally, I found that Golgari Charm isn't quite as useful in my current meta, so I'm moving 2 to the sideboard and replacing them with Putrefy, which works as even more removal but doesn't need Liquimetal Coating if I'm having bad luck drawing it. I switched out my guildgates for Vivid-lands, but will once again switch those out once I get some more cash to replace them with something nicer.
