My eyes popped out of my head when I first saw the Encore mechanic. So it was only natural for me to build around this sweet Encore Commander. What better way to take advantage of this unique ability than to make a self-mill commander deck! This deck has tons of tricks up it's sleeves, some sweet control elements, and a hand-full of combos to take advantage of! Hope you enjoy!

First and foremost this deck is designed to get cards into the graveyard. Most every piece in the list was chosen with this in mind so that we may win with : Thassa's Oracle, or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Every mill piece we have should be aimed at yourself to meet this end.

Araumi of the Dead Tide gives us three token copies that die at the end of turn, so I hand picked some sweet ETB & death triggers that can make this ability shine. If your creature doesn't have a dies trigger, or if it does and you want a little extra juice then make sure to have Altar of Dementia or Priest of Forgotten Gods to take advantage of these creatures before the depart from the board. If mana is what you are after, simply tap Nyx Lotus and cash in on those tokens to cast an extra spell before you sacrifice them to the Dead Tide.

If self mill isn't going to cut it, or you have less than the max amount of opponents left, lean into cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Bastion of Remembrance or Syr Konrad, the Grim to finish the job.

This is my first attempt at a self mill list so be sure to give me some pointers if you see a place where the deck can improve.
