Strategy Show

This deck is designed to do three things: Generate infinite gobs of mana, funnel that mana into overwhelming effects and cast a glen of faeries - usually all three at the same time.

Infinite mana

Cloud of Faeries or Pestermite allow you to untap lands, and lands like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Cloudpost and Lost Vale pay dividends to untap them. Further, combinations of Gauntlet of Power, Caged Sun and High Tide can enable even basic islands to tap for three or more mana. Even without Orvar, the faerie tribe has access to Faerie Impostor, Quickling and Glen Elendra Pranksters for bounce effects. These elements, along with enablers like Panharmonicon, can go infinite on their own.

Orvar, the All-Form kicks this strategy into gear. "Gobs" of mana turns into an unlimited amount if you target something that generates 4 or more mana (like a cloud of faeries) with Clockspinning or Mind Games.

Mana Outlets

So, you may assemble some (or all) of this and be asked, "So, what?" Fortunately, there are outlets for infinite mana in the faerie tribe: Faerie Formation happily devours mana. Glen Elendra Archmage along with Sage of Fables turns all non-creature spells off as long as blue mana is available. Brazen Borrower can translate mana into cyclonic rift if you have Glen Elendra Pranksters and Quickling also.

Finally, showing an opponent a Capsize or Spell Burst with infinite mana, and they'll likely concede before you can untap with an army of faeries.

Game 1: Didn't really get off the ground. Faerie Artisans proved to be enough of a threat to warrant targeted removal - It was very easy to see it would have been a baller if it had been allowed to live. Tiamat dragon pile ended up winning before the engine could go off.

Game 2: Able to shut down Yuriko with Sower of Temptation + copies. Nykthos, Cloud of Faeries, Orvar and Clockspinning was enough to generate "sufficient" mana, while Mystic Sanctuary let me do some casting from the 'yard. Showing Capsize from hand was enough to convince the others to concede.

Game 3: Combo got a bit messy with shortcuts and insufficient tokens. Regardless, unlimited copies of Shipwreck Dowser was enough to crash in for a combat damage win.

Thoughts: Lands were MVP. Both of the winning games featured Nykthos, while Cloudpost and Thespian's Stage absolutely smoothed out the mana game 3.

Effects that retrieved spells from the graveyard were vital. Mystic Sanctuary and Shipwreck Dowser were essential for wins.

The deck was altogether more efficient than I was expecting given how on-theme the cards are. Considering Academy Ruins for possible artifact recursion.
