-1 High Priest of Penance

+1 Vindicate

The High Priest is rarely useful, and the combat interaction I wanted with it almost never happens. Vindicate deals with problems much better.

-1 Khalni Garden

+1 Dryad Arbor

These cards are almost the same, funny enough: Slow mana with a body. The Arbor is susceptible to more removal, but it can be reanimated easier, it can be sacrificed multiple times as a result, and it can actually deal damage if I need it to.

Add in some sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar . Also you should use cards with ETB effects, like Sun Titan , Grave Titan , and Primeval Titan . In fact, Soul Warden and Essence Warden would also be helpful, considering the fact that there is a lot of reanimation in this deck. Captain of the Watch also has a good ETB.

Have you seen my deck. You can view it here:

Godspeed You! Black Emperor

It might give you some ideas.

I run Ashen Rider from Theros in mine. It's extremely powerful when you cheat it out.

If you're not going for an infinite combo deck (which it looks like you're not) then you probably want to reanimator with things like Entomb and Buried Alive . You throw things in the graveyard and then you revive them for cheap with things like Reanimate , Necromancy , Beacon of Unrest , Nim Deathmantle , Animate Dead etc.

I would avoid things that send graveyard creatures back to hand, because they're kind of weak. In particular - Disentomb .

Instead of Phyrexian Rebirth it's almost always better to have board clear that doesn't cost much mana like: Damnation , Wrath of God , Day of Judgment , Toxic Deluge and March of Souls .

I would also recommend some sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar , Viscera Seer , Blasting Station etc. You can abuse these with powerful cards like Karmic Guide or Reveillark that reanimate the creatures that you just sacrificed.

I have a Teneb, the Harvester and used him as a sub in my Karador, Ghost Chieftain EDH that never took off. Maybe things that boost your grave like Splinterfright and Golgari Grave-Troll , or Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni in case someone stops your Teneb. Also, Nevermore is good for any EDH, and Karador, Ghost Chieftain is good for graveyard stuff. I like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord personally- for EVERYTHING.

I highly recommend taking out some of the lower cost creatures to put in more powerful threats or more resilient creatures. Some examples of cards that have good synergy with your deck are Sun Titan and Karmic Guide . Also if your playgroup runs blue I highly recommend adding the land Homeward Path , I have won games where my opponents have take control or have reanimated my creatures, only to have me play homeward path and take them back. Also since you are running a lot of basics, Boundless Realms could potentially be a very good card.

There are a lot of cards in here that just do literally nothing. Khalni Hydra , Thragtusk , Watchwolf , Doomed Traveler etc. You really need to be aiming for creatures with big abilities. What about Karmic Guide ? Or Reveillark ? Why no Debtors' Knell ?

I suggest that before you invest in the deck that you think hard about what you really want to do with the deck. Just throwing stuff into a deck will more or less get you clobbered in EDH (I know, I tried it when I first started playing). It's best to have an overall strategy, with multiple combos in case your opponent exiles stuff from your deck.

I think you could go two ways with this. You could try to focus it around Teneb, in which case you want to have ways for him to hit your opponents on a regular basis, and you want to fill everyone's graveyard up. Or you could make it a general recursion deck, with Teneb as a heavy hitter with the potential for some recursion (I see you do have some in the deck already). Based on either one of those strategies, I could help name specific cards. Although it runs one less color, you could take a peek at my Jarad's Filthy Dregs to get an idea of some powerful recursion stuff.

And as ChiefBell said, you want stuff that will either affect the board once or continually. For example, running Grave Pact affects the board continuously and would allow you to combo in a sac deck. A good one-time effect example would be Craterhoof Behemoth (which you already have in your deck).

I'd suggest cutting these due to low power level:
Watchwolf (vanilla creature)
Midnight Covenant (low impact most of the time, not recurrable, easy to remove)
Doomed Traveler (small effect)
Khalni Hydra (nearly a vanilla creature)

Here's some things to add with varying levels of seriousness:
Strionic Resonator (double Teneb's triggered ability)
Fireshrieker (give Teneb or another strong attacker doublestrike)
Rogue's Passage (more unblockableness for Teneb)
Trailblazer's Boots (more unblockableness for Teneb)

A funny Teneb trick is to discard creature cards somehow and have Teneb revive them to completely get past casting them ever. Undertaker comes to mind but Grimoire of the Dead might be a funnier way to go about it, particularly if your creature count gets a little bigger. Survival of the Fittest though if you just wanted to completely crack the game open.

Ashnod's Altar ? Just a thought, if you are attempting a sac heavy deck.

it is always interesting to see others take on junk reanimator in commander. If you want, take a look at mine Teneb's Grave and give an opinion.

Only a few days ago did I help a friend build his own Teneb deck, so the majority of this list is familiar. I recommend adding in Corpse Connoisseur (to set up the really good reanimations like Elesh Norn) and Phyrexian Obliterator (because it is amazing). If you are frightened by the BBBB mana cost, a combination of Crypt Ghast and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth make it crazy easy, while also making your fatties easier on the mana base.

Matter Reshaper is cool, but in EDH, the cards will most likely have a higher cmc so I'd cut that for karmic guide
