https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NvyVJt_R60yEnxAZnxBY9Q - This deck has moved to moxfield if you would like to see a current version. This list may or may not be further updated . Hey there! This is my first (and only for now) commander deck. The goal of this deck is to get 100+ mana stored up, then play my entire hand, draw more cards, play my entire hand, draw more cards, repeat that as many times as I would like, then crush whoever is unlucky enough to be on the other side of the table. Its pretty much a Timmy's dream, big mana, big creatures, big wins. Some people might say its a primitive, no skill, unga-bunga deck, but hey I like cavemen, and besides, its their only excuse for why they just got beat in the face with ∞ commander damage. Hope you enjoy the deck! P.S - The deck isn't finished or even close, so don't feel the need to comment that one of my cards is terrible. I probably already know ;)

Like I said above, Omnath decks are pretty easy to pilot, as long as you can do quick math, because somebody has to count where all that mana is going! Anyway, your first turn with the deck will hopefully be spent playing one mana creatures (or a sol ring that taps for two!) that tap for one mana. These let you play Omnath, or other three mana spells on your second turn. After that you will want to get as much mana stored up as you can, so you can one shot opponents with your 50/50 Omnath with hexproof, unblockable, and trample. Of course before that you need mana-doublers, ramp spells, and a win condition to come up. Also, even though this is mono green, we still have some great removal, like Monstrous Onslaught which can usually wipe the entire board of creatures that you don't own.

Ramp

  • Llanowar Elves , Elvish Mystic , and Fyndhorn Elves : These creatures all do the exact same thing, they make you one turn ahead of your opponent in terms of mana. Some decks you see might not have these one mana creatures, but in my opinion these guys can really make your deck speed along much faster than just a land a turn

  • Arbor Elf : This little guy is even more helpful than the other elves, since if I have a doubler like Vernal Bloom , I can get two mana from the forest I untap.

  • Birds of Paradise (BoP): These pesky birds are sometimes even better than the elves since they can be an emergency blocker if your opponent has a huge dragon or flier. Other than that, the birds have one less power and can tap for any color (Doesn't matter in one color deck)

  • Sol Ring : There is a reason this card is in almost every commander deck, and this one is no exception! Casting this and a land turn one, then casting another land next turn will get you four mana turn two! While the mana from the ring can't be stored in Omnath, it is still a great opening draw, and will set you miles ahead of your opponent.

  • Nature's Lore (and hopefully soon Three Visits ): Not a whole lot to say, except it is better than Rampant Growth in mono green. Gets you an extra land, and will sometimes even pay for itself if you have a mana doubler

  • Sakura-Tribe Elder : I have this in over Rampant Growth since it will draw me a card with things like The Great Henge . It is also a permanent so cards that look for permanents can find this. Also a good emergency blocker.

  • Lotus Cobra : I'm actually not a big fan of this card, but for now it will stay in since I have nothing better. Can be helpfully early when you need that one extra mana.

  • Gaea's Touch : Very cheap ($) card, I usually play an extra land or two, then sac it, so it basically costs me nothing. Very underrated and underplayed, although this is my only extra land a turn card since I don't feel like spending $20 on Exploration or Burgeoning .

  • Wood Elves : Pretty good ramp on a stick type creature, I like cards like these since they are permanents and they can also draw me cards! The land also comes in untapped so that is an added bonus.

  • Cultivate and Kodama's Reach : These are some of the most heavily played cards in commander, and of course there is a reason. While I personally like Nature's Lore better, sometimes these two cards can be lifesavers when you didn't draw nearly enough lands, as it gives you a land for next turn.

  • Skyshroud Claim : Two Nature's Lore 's stuck together into one very efficient spell. The lands come in untapped as well, so if you have a mana doubler, the spell replaces itself just like Nature's Lore . Great at any point in the game.

Doublers & other mana stuff

  • The Great Henge : This card is amazing! It usually costs nothing since I almost always play it for two mana, tap it back for two (gaining two life as well)). Then, whenever I cast a creature spell I draw a card AND I get to put a +1/+1 counter on it. A great card that gives me so much value!
