I helped out a friend at a commander night at my local card shop to build a budget deck around Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. I have been playing with the commander for a while, so I eagerly accepted to help him out. The above list is more or less what resulted from the adventure we had. The list goes well above what a lot of people would consider budget. A lot of the cards that bring it up there are simply very good to have in any Oloro deck, and he was willing to spend about this much. This is not to say, however, that this deck could not easily be cut down below the $100 dollar mark, or even the $60 dollar mark (not recommended, but doable). If I get enough asks to suggest even more budget options for some of the more "expensive" cards in the deck, I can most certainly list them here.

The basic idea, as with pretty much any Oloro deck, is to gain a ton of life, obtain a lot of card advantage, control our opponent's board with high value spells (like Mortify and Utter End), and win the game with our win conditions. Namely: Aetherflux Reservoir, Felidar Sovereign, Serra Avatar, Sanguine Bond, Ajani's Pridemate, Vizkopa Guildmage.... You get the picture.

Also, Approach of the Second Sun for the massive slightly-serious-slightly-not meme ;)
