So Battle for Zendikar block has been good to me. After the release of Oath of the Gatewatch was released, I found a couple of cards that were definite must haves.

To continue with the vampiric life drain theme, I added Cliffhaven Vampire. It was a decent global effect that affects my opponent's equally. Even if Oloro is not cast that is 2 life per opponent per turn.

Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim also seemed like a natural fit to this deck. There's a built in repeatable sac outlet with life gain. The secondary ability's restriction is easy to overcome as this deck can gain 10 life rather quickly.

The last card I added was Alhammarret's Archive. This deck loves to draw cards and gain life so it was natural to include this card. Yes, the 5 casting cost is pretty steep, but in the long run, this card can generate a lot of value.

When deciding which cards to take out, I looked at each card's overall impact on the board state. At this point, all of the cards work with Oloro, but a few cards were rather underwhelming. Ajani's Pridemate, rarely was a threat on the board. It took some time to get to be a decent size and it had no evasion. Cradle of Vitality was a decent enchantment, but when it was out, there was rarely a time that I wasn't spending mana on other things. As for Crypt Ghast, the mana doubling was sub-optimal in a three color deck. The Extort ability was nice, but the ghast's casting cost and body couldn't justify the inclusion.

IN: Alhammaret's Archive, Cliffhaven Vampire, Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim

OUT: Ajani's Pridemate, Cradle of Vitality, Crypt Ghast
