Update 5 —Dec. 28, 2018

More changes

Out:

Baral, Chief of Compliance

He was just a lightning rod. It cost reduction was great but I have added enough control elements to make him less necessary (for now). He might need to come back in based on further testing.

Talrand, Sky Summoner

Talrand is just too easy to remove. Murmuring Mystic is much better in my eyes.

Azorius Chancery

Too slow and not a good Noyan Dar target. You lose far to much if it dies. Also, I needed to trim a land.

Roil Spout

I just wasn't a big fan of this card. Trying other cards now.

In:

Teferi, Hero of Dominaria

Allows for tap out control. Also, untaps lands that were animated. You can tap them to cast spells or attack and then untap them at end of turn. Really great synergy here.

Trade Routes

Turns late game land draw into cycling cards. You can also return lands that were animated that are about to be destroyed to your hand. Helps with board wipes in this deck.

Murmuring Mystic

A better Talrand in my opinion. The 5 booty makes it harder to remove. The 1/1 birds vs. the 2/2 drakes is very insignificant.

Encircling Fissure

A fog effect on an awaken card. I have been happy having one of these for that "gotcha" moment. I personally like this card and it has awaken so even if Noyan Dar isn't out I can awaken a land.

Dope! Hello fellow Noyan Man Land control player. Your list is great! Only suggestion would be to cut the creatures entirely.

Here's my Noyan Dar Man-Land-Still list.

I think Murmuring Mystic would be better than Talrand. Only makkes 1/1s, But way harder to kill.

@SufferFromEDHD - Thanks for the link to your decklist. I haven't been able to bring myself to drop the creatures. How is Teferi, Hero of Dominaria working out for you? Also, I'm also curious about Trade Routes. Did you include it because you were worried about board wipes? I'm digging the idea. Thanks for the comment!

@dhearne04 Murmuring Mystic is likely harder to kill. I don't think 1/1 vs. 2/2 really matters when it comes to this deck. It is just nice to have flying blockers honestly. Murmuring Mystic is also less restrictive on the mana as it doesn't require UU. Thanks for the suggestion!

I would think Intruder Alarmwould be dope in this deck.

two creatures that would be really helpful are Abzan Falconer and Aven Mimeomancer.

And maybe Wind Zendikon and Spiritual Asylum

Thanks for the suggestions Homelessguy. I like Abzan Falconer and have used it in the past. The problem is, if you don't have an animated land it doesn't do much.

I like the idea but the issue with Spiritual Asylum is that I can't target a land with Noyan Dar which is a big problem. I am a fan of Wind Zendikon which I took out before because I wanted more instants and sorceries. I might put it back in though because sometimes you just need to get the train rolling with a creature.

How about Ghirapur Orrery? It makes it so you can get more lands out fast, and refills your hand when you use all of your instants and sorceries. Yeah, it also helps your opponents a little, but you will probably benefit most from it.
