Nobody expects the Kozileks Inqusition - BG Infect (Modern MTG Deck)

The gameplay of this deck is to play low CMC creatues, e.g.: Glistener Elf, pump it with 1-Mana spells and deal 10 infect damage as fast as possible. To accelerate this plan I use GYM-Bro Hierarch and OG Hierarch.

To protect these creatures I have 2-in-1 spells: Blossoming Defense & Vines of Vastwood.

I play this deck at FNM's and small tournaments.

With Orcish Bowmasters a new threat arises. It's probably good to start playing Venerated Rotpriest and Mutagenic Growth. Maybe even Veil of Summer in the Sideboard again.
Also Burn stopped playing Eidolon of the Great Revel so Moment of Craving is going to be replaced in the sideboard.

Maybeboard:

Boseiju, Who Endures: 1x in the sideboard over Abrupt Decay. Depending on your landconfiguration and your local Meta you might even be able to run a single copy Mainboard.
Tear Asunder & Splinter: against The One Ring.
Become Immense: to have a pump spell that can be cast if your opponent played a Chalice of the Void with 1 counter, also good against Mill

Tipps & Tricks

Phyrexian Crusader's combination of first strike and infect means you can block 3/3 creatures: the enemy creature gets -2/-2 and becomes a 1/1 and then only deals 1 damage to Phyrexian Crusader. You can even block bigger creatues in combination with your pump spells.
You can use Vines of Vastwood on your opponents creatues to make them hexproof from his/her spells. Use this against Death Shadow's Temur Battle Rage or other infect decks.
You can use the "Delve"-Cost of Become Immense to clear your graveyard if your opponent casts Drown in the Loch; you then have only Become Immense in your graveyard, so your CMC >= 2 cards are save.
Phyrexian Crusader has protection from red, so it's not a legal target for the creature-part of Searing Blaze which then can't be cast.

Match 4: 2:1 BR Brew: Emrakul + Goryo's Vengeance Combo in a Asmo & Urza's Saga Shell

BR Brew: T1 The Underworld Cookbook, T2 use it to discard Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and with it's "shuffle back into library"-trigger on the stack play Goryo's Vengeance to get it into play. Backup Plan is to play a Urza's Saga-value game.
I am still not shure how aggressive to sideboard against Amulet Titan: in this game I sideboarded heavy into a control-strategy since their only threats are 4x Primeval Titan and 4x Dryad of the Ilysian Grove.

Sunday Modern 8.August 2021: 5th Place, 10 Players

Note Match 1&3: both Losses were due to Mistakes from me, could have gotten 4th Place.

Match 1: Played Lands in the wrong order: Opponent cleared my board with Supreme Verdict turn 4 and I played Inkmoth Nexus afterwards. I should have played it before turn 4 to OTK him when he was tapped out.
Match 3: I had a tapped Phyrexian Crusader and an untapped Ignoble Hierarch on board, Scale Up in hand and was at 8 life. Opponent was at 4 poison counters, attacks with Monastery Swiftspear, I did not block with Ignoble Hierarch and opponent double Lightning Bolt's me for lethal. He probably did not have any removal for Phyrexian Crusader and I could have won on the backswing if I blocked with Ignoble Hierarch.

FNM 6.August 2021: 4th Place, 15 Players

Note Match 3: Tried a removal-heavy mulligan (IN: 2x Fatal Push, 1x Murderous Cut, 1x Abrupt Decay, 2x Crime / Punishment; OUT: 4x Glistener Elf, 2x Snakeskin Veil), but that failed. Probably the best Strategy against Humans is to mulligan aggressive for Phyrexian Crusader, since most of their creatures are .
