Maybeboard

This deck starts slow, but is hard to stop once it gets rolling.

The basic idea is to create and sacrifice tokens and weenies, using Savra's abilities along with Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, Attrition, Butcher of Malakir, and Reaper from the Abyss to keep my enemy's board clear, while building up a strong presence to deal damage with my heavy hitting demons.

Tutors get me the right combination of sac outlets and token spawners - an unanswered Liliana Vess can be game-ending.

Let's take a look at the players

Sac outlets

The one off sac outlets are nice - creatures like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Tormentd thoughts and Disciple of Bolas to give me early leads. And I can't count the number of times I've won due to Magus of the Mirror . He's basically a big middle finger to Oloro decks.

My go-to reusable sac outlets are Ashnod's Altar and the Altar of Dementia. Each allows me to sacrifice at instant speed as a response to declaring blockers, to a kill spell, or to an end step if need be. If I'm lacking for mana, Ashnod's got my back. If my opponents are looking scary and I want to throw some hate their way, Dementia awaits.

The Eater of Hope, Attrition, Doomgape and Disciple of Griselbrand all fill the next level or sac outlets. Nice effects, good if I don't have access to my altars, and in The 'gape and the Eater's case, a damn good creature on top of it.

Lastly, there's the Champion of Stray Souls . His major downside is the cost he takes to sacrifice creatures. On the other hand, who can say no to that kind of recursion? Sac a creature, return a creature - then sac the returned to return the sac'd. He's a value card in the late game, when I have mana to spare.

He segues nicely into...

Graveyard Recursion

Stitch Together can be very useful, especially if I've passed Threshold. Of course, Phyrexian Reclamation is a must, and Hua Tuo, Honored Physician is wonderful as well. The Soul of Innistrad is a nice big creature although the high cost of his recursion means he's not usually a go-to in that area. Deadbridge Chant is nice, because it recurs both creatures and spells/lands, although it does work at random.

Profane Command is a wonderful spell, allowing recursion and removal at the same time or just pushes damage through.

Gleancrawler is my favorite recursion card. I attack with everything, sac anything that would be killed in combat, then sac everything else after damage is dealt, then it all comes back to my hand for another round. It's so greedy though, I usually can't afford to play it until I'm already in a commanding position.

Next up-

Token Spawners

There are a LOT of them. My favorites are Grave Titan, Garruk, Apex Predator, Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder, and the Kessig Cagebreakers. Constant token generators = expendable sacrifices.

Things that make my sacrifices mean

Well, Savra, Queen of the Golgari , obviously. But Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and the Butcher of Malakir mean I don't even have to pay life, or that I can pay life to get even more removal.

Harvester of Souls and Reaper of the Wilds get me card advantage.

It That Betrays is just plain rude. Once an enemy's board is clear, they start having to sac lands, and at that point, it's just game over.

Tutors

Liliana Vess is a great card- unanswered, she wins me games by ensuring that I get a good combination of sac outlets and token spawners onto the field.

Increasing Ambition gets me three fetches and that alone can be game ending - usually I go in for one of my altars, Grave Titan, and Grave Pact. Doom ensues. Alternatively, if I'm feeling behind, I can try to end the game by landing Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion.

Other things

Indulgent Tormentor and Ob Nixilis, Unshackled are mean.

Garruk Wildspeaker serves as both mana ramp and token spawner, depending of what I need.

Chromatic Lantern means that when my opponents sac lands to It That Betrays, I can use them more effectively.

Oracle of Mul Daya, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Mul Daya Channelers , Black Market, Magus of the Vineyard , and Market Festival all help my mana out.

What I'm looking for now is a way to lower the CMC a bit. Any suggestions on how to do so (large things I don't need, low things that would work better/instead) would be appreciated.
