The base for this deck is the Zendikar Rising blue/black “sneak attack” deck, which turned out to be severely underpowered in comparison to its counterpart from the same set. I have kept about half of the original cards in the deck and the other half have been replaced to make this workable.

The new function of the deck is to mill your opponent to death using various cards, however my favorites are The Court of Cunning and Traumatize. Once you have milled them a few times you can bring out one of the multiple X/X creatures that pull X from various card counts in graveyards. Of course you still need some average creatures, so those are the rogues that use the commander’s buff.

Multiple counter spells are required because once you bring out the big creatures opponents will want them gone ASAP and attempt to remove them without combat, so you must be prepared to hold your ground.

Even though this is a mill based deck, I have a few “panic buttons” to exile cards from graveyards in case I come up against someone playing from their graveyard and want to limit them from utilizing everything I just milled them for.
