{G}{U}Welcome to my commander deck featuring the now 'hit's the graveyard when it dies' creature, Roalesk, Apex Hybrid{U}{G}

As soon as the changes to how commanders die happened, I immediately grabbed my copy of Roalesk, Apex Hybrid and began brewing. My first initial idea was going to be a Simic Superfriends deck (which could still be quite strong but since I already have a Superfriends deck in Niambi, Faithful Healer I didn't want another) so instead I opted for the obvious build, counters. With this current build, I find the deck doesn't often need Roalesk to work and he works as a great enabler of our strategy rather than the foundation.

As you can probably see from the decklist above, the idea of the deck is to generate as many counters as you can (mostly +1's but there are others) and using these as a payoff somehow. Whether it's big beaters like Mowu, Loyal Companion, tapping stuff down with Sharktocrab, take a bunch of extra turns with Sage of Hours or steal stuff with Simic Manipulator. There's quite a lot of stuff you can do with counters! Aside from +1 counters we also have Lux Cannon to blow permanents up and Darksteel Reactor/Simic Ascendancy because who doesn't want to win the game! Special mention to Magistrate's Scepter as there are some infinite combos in there for all the turns once you get that first counter on there involving proliferate.

Aside from that we have a small package for removal, trying to fit as much as a can alongside the counters synergy theme like Steelbane Hydra and Smell Fear and some standard ramp in there. Getting Replicating Ring to trigger is always satisfying.
