Another bizarre legend that turns out us pretty fun when you build around him. I've yet to see him in action, but with advice from a friend (and a bit of research) I think I have a build with a nice blend of stuff that helps him do his thing. Enjoy!

Greven is a harsh commander to pick. He needs your life total to rapidly drop to boost his power, and this is no easy thing to keep stabilized. So, we need a steady flow of life we can spend in mass to fuel Greven. Lifelink in general is pretty good, plus cards like Exsanguinate and Essence Harvest help out a ton. To fuel Greven, cards like Hatred and Necropotence let you dump life in a hurry, while lands like City of Brass and Castle Lochtwain can steadily lower your life without drastic drops. Greven can also buff himself with your creatures, drawing cards for power but you lose life based on toughness. So, we have some big payoff creatures in the deck to feed him. Overall, just make your life drop and rise, and use your big Greven to go in for the kill.

While I'm here, I'll go ahead and mention cards that also work with Greven that I thoroughly enjoy, but couldn't find space for:
