UPDATE: This deck sucks, don't play it.
Played in a 5 round GPT, and a 8 man modern event today, and the deck performed very poorly. Played against Tron, Burn, Jund, RB Control, and Dredge. Lost to Tron, Burn, and Dredge. Losing to Tron was tough as it feels like the decks best matchup, but honestly I drew fairly poorly, but as the day went on those draws were common...
I found that the deck wasn't very consistent and good hands would need a bushwhacker with a bunch of creatures, or burning trees with things to cast. If you didn't have a good opening hand, most top decks are bad as very few cards are good on their own. I also found that one land isnt enough, and 4 lands means you probably lose, 3 lands most of the time is poor...
The meta game for the GPT today was a lot of burn, scapeshift, tron, and bgx. Almost the dream meta for this deck and it still did very poorly... so my conclusion is the deck is quite bad, and I suggest playing something else.
Updated modern Zoo now featuring Narnam Renegade, and a Hidden Herbalist. These changes make the deck more base green and cut the 4 Kird Ape, and no white cards maindeck so only need for a plains is for
Wild Nacatl
.
This is more all in, and potentially more vulnerable to a wrath effect. However in this current metagame where the big mana and combo decks are taking over, this is able to crush those decks easily. A great meta deck in a tron/scapeshift heavy room.
Sideboard is super incomplete as I still don't have much time with the deck.
