Update July 2018 - small tweaks... —July 11, 2018

Hello players,

after some intense games in a hyper competitive meta, I was finally able to give this deck a few minor updates it needed. This update was also possible due to some succesfull trades in the recent weeks.

Without further delay I present you the cuts:

-1 Static Orb : clunky stax card that punishes ourselves too much for my liking.

-1 Farseek : this was a good placeholder until I found a better long desired ramp target

-1 Fleshbag Marauder : Not effective enough, since the vital creatures/commanders could possibly not be affected by it

The new pieces for the deck:

+1 Mana Web : The blue players will hate me for this piece and they are getting more present each gamenight

+1 Scavenging Ooze : Graveyard shenenigan decks are uprising in the area. Time to act and stop that grave digging.

+1 Chrome Mox : Yes! I found one and happily add this beautiful piece of ramp art to the deck

A new extensive round of games lies ahead. And I am looking forward to more stax games. Beware that these kind of decks tend to draw a lot of hate, but the rewards of playing this are usually great.

If you have any questions about the deck functioning or the primer, then feel free to leave a comment below.

Thanks for following this deck!

Thanks for your nice comment dsgrave. I played with Grave Pact in the past too. But it's just not competitiv enough to warrant a spot in my deck. It takes too much hassle and I don;t get that time in my meta.

Master of the Wild Hunt is too slow for my liking and he also is a creature himself, meaning he is very vulnerable on the battlefield. I would suggest against adding it in a competitive environment.

Keep tweaking your deck to your likings and your own meta. That is important! I would consider at least 15+ mana rocks/dorks to enable a consistant start during most of your games.

Good luck and keep me posted!

Thanks L3ad!

I believe that without Chains a competitive decklist is still viable. But his unique effect is hard to replace by any card.

The only walker I run I feel is the only walker that truely is viable in my competitive meta. All other walkers I feel do not bring enough to the board; are too expensive/slow or a are supbar in their action.

Thanks for the upvote Keir47424. Post the link to your deck on my wall, so that I have a reminder to take a look at it later on.
