This deck attempts to assume the role of a paladin's versatile set of abilities. Incorporating tenets, abilities and flavorful themes found in paladins throughout various sources such as DnD and (mmo)rpg's.

Commander: Valkmira, protector's shield. This side of the card is the main attraction of the double sided commander. Valkmira gives every individual damage instance taken by you or any of your permanants a -1 damage adjustment, making pinging your creatures off the board much harder for opponents. Aside from that, Valkmira also comes with a very comfy taxing counterspell, forcing enemies to pay 1 additional mana for anything targeting you or a permanent you control.

Versatility makes up the core of the deck. This makes the deck less focussed and as a result more oriented towards casual play, with a rough powerlevel of 5-6. The deck tries to combine a number of commonly found themes in decks:

• Token theme, with some token generators, a few anthems and some cards that benefit from weenies entering the battlefield

• Life gain theme, with cards like daxos, linden, ashes of abhorrent generating life, and cards like twinblade paladin making use of said life gain

• Pillowfort, paladins are generally defensive in nature, and while this deck does most of its harassing through combat, there are a few pillowfort pieces in the deck

• Stax/hatebear, very light amount of stax and hatebear is present in this deck, as they are flavorful to paladins

• General paladin thematic cards, aside from the above thematics, this includes some (conditional) removal such as condemn, a good amount of protection cards, cards that represent abilities from DnD or other sources, and some flavorful alternative win conditions
