Does anyone remember this format?

I tried to introduce a guy at work to MTG, and he comes back to me a week later with "can we play frontier?".

Who actually does that?

Anyway, this is a first attempt at a hard green ramp deck, Something I tried after learning there were 2 different 1 mana dorks available. God I wish there was a more budget alternative for Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, but there's nothing I could find that does the job like him. Closest I could find was Pelakka Wurm. Deck's plan is fairly simple:

T1 Mana Elf

T2 Pilgrimage/Ashes

T3 Promise/Ashes

T4 Ugin/World Breaker

Also, it says this isn't Frontier legal thanks to the desert cards. Did they get banned when I wasn't looking?
