Casual mono blue Commander deck. Control the board, draw tons of cards, win. Not very salty but can be desalinated further by removing Time Warp and Magistrate's Scepter . One aim was to create a deck that is not too expensive - the most expensive card Sensei's Divining Top can easily be removed without weakening the deck. To make the deck more competitive, some of the counterspells can be replaced by more powerful versions like the actual Counterspell , Mana Drain and Force of Will , even Power Sink works well. Mirrormade can be replaced by Copy Artifact (to copy Manifold Key or something your opponent cast) and Heraldic Banner and Midnight Clock by other mana stones, especially Mana Vault . The card draw engine can easily be improved by including Teferi's Ageless Insight . Some combos and strategies include: creating an insane amount of mana with Nyx Lotus , untapping it with Manifold Key and/or Minamo, School at Water's Edge , allowing you to draw loads of cards with Mystic Archaeologist or (a bit worse) Spectral Sailor . Most of the small creatures can easily be treated as blockers only but Thassa, Deep-Dwelling can blink those with enter-the-battle-field effects. Stonecoil Serpent and Crystalline Giant are only included to block rather rare "protection from blue" creatures and can be swapped with others. When the deck has established control, it can easily win by whittling down the opponent or flood her/him with tokens from Shark Typhoon or Nadir Kraken or simply by drawing the remaining deck with Thassa's Orcale. The commander Gadwick, the Wizened only serves to draw cards - use it as a blocker then recast it to draw more cards. I have included one planeswalker as an example - this version of Teferi Teferi, Timeless Voyager is not as annoying as most others and still serves a purpose. This deck is supposed to be a fun deck - of course there are tons of cards that make it more competitive. It is a good basis for finding a deck that is not alienating your play group while still winning games. Swap cards until it has a nice enough win percentage but keep it non-salty!
