Inherit the Will of D(ragons) with Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer!

Plan A – Turn things sideways

Ramp early game with Ragavan and begin amassing a large amount of treasures. Curve into dragons and bonk your opponents until they’re dead. Magda, Brazen Outlaw + Ancient Copper Dragon is oodles of fun! This is the most optimal and fun way to play this deck.

Plan B – Combo wins

• Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Coercive Recruiter basically allows you to Insurrection the whole board every single turn, in the event that you don’t outright win after resolving the combo.

• Jeska's Will + Reiterate generates infinite mana. Adding Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer to the mix lets you impulse “draw” your entire library without actually decking yourself.

• Twinflame and Heat Shimmer aren’t in the deck, but those two make infinite hasty 2/2s with Dualcaster Mage.

Plan C – Commander damage!

Despite sharing its base power and toughness with Savannah Lions, it is feasible to connect 21 points of damage with Ragavan. Forge of Heroes, Opal Palace, Commander's Plate and various double strike and unblockable effects in the deck can help facilitate this.

Plan D – Sheer luck

Gemstone Caverns in the opening hand is the only way to dash in Ragavan on T1. Although this deck doesn’t heavily lean into his other ability, I have managed to cast very impactful things from my opponents’ libraries.

Spells like an overloaded Spectacular Showdown might not facilitate a win, but they’ll certainly help close out a game.
