Modern Assassins (Cruel Control)

Modern* BG (Golgari) Control Cruel Control

Sorcery (1)

The point of this deck is pretty simple. Kill and disrupt until you get to an end game strategy. The great thing about this strategy is by the time you get to an end game strategy is that your opponent is low on options, and likely low on health to have the means to deal with this deck endgame. What you want to do is put some control over their hand and kill any important creatures they need on the battlefield. The weakness for this deck would have to be fighting a creature less deck. This is when you want to maximize on the sideboard and put control over their hand.

Vraska the Unseen - Vraska's first ability makes it hard for your opponent to decide if it is worth the trade. Her third ability I sometimes kick off if I need to clear up the board a little bit. Her final can easily be achieved and used to win. With enough control over the board getting a clear shot on the opponent with an assassin is very much achievable.

Vraska, Relic Seeker - I like this Vraska a lot more then Unseen mainly because her final isn't to far off, she starts out at high loyalty counters, and she brings in a couple of pirates to finish my opponent off when her final comes around.

Vraska, Golgari Queen - If there is one card I like best out of Guilds of Ravnica, it has to be the Golgari Queen. This Vraska is great four drop in my opinion. Plus her first ability banks off of some card draw and throwing assassins into graveyards where card:Scareblade Elite can be fueled up to do some killing. But my favorite part of this card has to be her final. Mainly because her final is an emblem putting constant pressure on my opponent.

Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet - Getting away from my Vraskas, here we have a very interesting card which banks off of this strategy very well. Kalitas exiles my opponents creatures making sure they will be getting nothing back. Plus I'm getting zombie spam put into here. I have banked somewhere up to ten zombies with Kalitas. All of this is why I would have to put Kalitas under endgame.

Reaper from the Abyss - Reaper from the Abyss is an addition to this deck that I have thoroughly enjoyed. This guy essentially adds and extra kill at the end of my turn. The best part about it is it's a 6/6, and with enough control over my opponents hand and board they don't have the energy to kill it.

These endgames are not the only thing that gets a win. Many times I can easily control my opponents hand and board and finish them off with some quick level damage. It's not the most ideal, but it has been proven to work. That being said I am a huge fan of this style of play and for that matter this deck. That being said leave a comment or a like and I'll get back to you soon.
