My take on a Mizzix deck that is budget, yet still quite competitive. :)

Game Plan

This is our main win condition and the one we usually shoot for. It can be done at instant speed which is quite powerful and leaves us the least vulnerable.

Requirements: Mizzix out, Firemind's Foresight in hand, 4 and 1 , 3 experience counters

Using to cast Firemind's Foresight we tutor for Lightning Bolt, Pyretic Ritual, and Reiterate. This gains us an additional experience counter.

We use to cast Pyretic Ritual and holding priority use to cast Reiterate with buyback cost paid targeting Pyretic Ritual. This copies Pyretic Ritual.

We let the copied Pyretic Ritual resolve, and return Reiterate back to our hand. We now have 3 floating. Before letting the original Pyretic Ritual resolve, we cast Reiterate targeting Pyretic Ritual again using 2 of the 3 we got from the Pyretic Ritual copy.

Repeating this we are netting 1 from each Reiterate cast, giving us infinite [R].

Finally, we use our infinite to case Lightning Bolt and continuously Reiterate with buyback cost to bolt the whole table for lethal damage.

If Firemind's Foresight fails, I typically shoot for this.

Requirements: Enter the Infinite in hand, Thassa's Oracle in hand or in library, at least 6 (depending on if Mizzix is out and can reduce cost of Enter the Infinite or not. This can be done without Mizzix on the field.

We use to cast Enter the Infinite, drawing our whole library and putting a card of our choice back on top of our library.

Use to cast Thassa's Oracle, winning us the game.

This win condition is very vulnerable because if Thassa's Oracle gets countered there's not much we can do to not lose after 2 more draw steps. If I'm trying to pull this off I typically make sure my opponents are tapped out or I have enough extra blue mana to be able to cast a couple counters if need be.

This one is more of an alternative win condition that I rarely go for, but if I pull of then cool!

Requirements: Mizzix and Aetherflux Reservoir on battlefield, Reiterate and Pyretic Ritual in hand, 4 experience counters, 3

Like we do in the Firemind's Foresight combo, we cast Pyretic Ritual and holding priority cast Reiterate targeting Pyretic Ritual. Let the copy resolve and then repeatedly cast Reiterate on Pyretic Ritual to gain infinite life.

Use infinite casts of Reiterate and Aetherflux Reservoir to drain opponents.

Quick note, this can also be done with Seething Song instead of Pyretic Ritual.

2 Counters + Turnabout + Reiterate = Infinite Mana

4 Counters + Frantic Search + Reiterate = Draw lots of cards

Infinite Mana + any X card draw spell + Thassa's Oracle = Win

Change Log

Adding some more low-cost counterspells to protect combo and be able to counter without needing experience counters.

IN - Tale's End; OUT - Disdainful Stroke

I like the idea of countering a triggered ability. Worst comes to worst, it hits a commander cast too!

IN - Unwind; OUT - Condescend

Condescend seemed like the worst of my X counterspells, and unwind seems great in this deck.

IN - Negate; OUT - Inner Fire

Kept Seething Song, but I don't need all these red mana spells... Negate to protect combo.

IN - Pyroblast; OUT - Dragonlord's Prerogative

Mainly to save the combo if anything gets countered. Dragonlord's Prerogative seemed like the worst of my draw spells.

IN - Desertion; OUT - Finale of Revelation

Desertinon sounds fun and Finale of Revelation is only really useful if X is 10 or more, but if I'm at the point where I can cast it for that much mana, I should be winning the game...

IN - Narset's Reversal; OUT - Increasing Vengeance

I have Repeated Reverberation still in the deck, so not sure if I need Increasing Vengeance. Not sure how well Narset's reversal will work in this deck, but I want to try it out!

IN - Leyline of Anticipation; OUT - Rite of Replication

Trying out Leyline to see how useful it will be in the deck. Rite of Replication is more of just a fun card if I can cast it for it's kicker cost, but really is not that effective.

IN - Evacuation; OUT - Crush of Tentacles

An instant speed bounce all creatures seems more effective than a sorcery speed bounce all nonland permanents.

IN - Reality Spasm; OUT - Rhystic Study

Currently I do not want to put out the money for a Rhystic Study, so I'm subbing in Reality Spasm for the time being.

IN - Braingeyser; OUT - Time Stretch

Same reason as Rhystic Study, Time Stretch is expensive. Braingeyser also just seems like a good X spell to have in here.

IN - Temporal Mastery; OUT - Beacon of Tomorrows

I got a Temporal Mastery in a Mystery Booster pack and didn't have a copy of Beacon of Tomorrows. So a perfect swap.

IN - Arcane Denial; OUT - Power Sink

I think having a counter that doesn't rely on me having a bunch of counters is better.

IN - Arcane Signet; OUT - Guttersnipe

Guttersnipe doesn't do much. I never really do effective damage with him and I don't have any mana rocks to allow me to ramp on turn 2 to play mizzix turn 3 so this might help for a faster win.

IN - Finale of Revelation; OUT - Baral, Chief of Compliance

Baral just wasn't doing enough for me to keep him in. The more draw the better.

IN - Island and Mountain; OUT - Halimar Depths and Spirebluff Canal

Spirebluff Canal often comes in tapped and Halimar Depths doesnt give me enough value to warrant it being tapped.

Got a couple upgrades for Mizzix.

IN - Solve the Equation; OUT - Propaganda

Another cheap spell that lets me find Fireminds Foresight? Yes please. Propaganda never does much for me.

IN - Compulsive Research; OUT - Comet Storm

More draw is always good. Replacing for a mediocre kill spell.

IN - Training Center; OUT - Evolving Wilds

IN - Riverglide Pathway  ; OUT - Izzet Boilerworks

Better lands than come in untapped.

IN - Silver Scrutiny; OUT - Insidious Will

Good X draw spell, never loved drawing insidious will.
