Spellseeker —July 21, 2018

Spellseeker

So I picked up a Spellseeker a few weeks back and I replaced dream cache with it. I love the mini tool box that it adds to the deck almost like a more powerful Trinket Mage. Right now I have 6 targets for it:

Cyclonic Rift

Reanimate

Brainstorm

Mystical Tutor

Demonic Tutor

Vampiric Tutor

Obviously I’ll probably be getting rift with it 80+% of the time. But it also being a reanimation spell is handy. Also getting brainstorm to clean up some ugly hands could be crucial too. Mystical tutor could be fetched to place a Devastation Tide on top EOT. The 2 tutors would be grabbed if I need something very specific.

I may down the line try to add some more targets for it. A few I was thinking of:

Sylvan Scrying

Flash

Broken Bonds

Or any 2 mana hard counter spell

I’m sorry if this has already been posted but what do you think of Tasigur, the Golden Fang as the Commander? With Pod and Evolution you can get straight into the fatties and with his ability you can easily keep getting creatures for free. Awesome deck btw!

That’s a good idea, but I’d probably have to change my deck a bit to take advantage of it. I only have 3 7-8 drops in the deck right now. Also one reason I don’t use tasigur is because I don’t want to delve my resources. I want to continue using the things in my graveyard via witness and reanimation. That’s also why I like mimeoplasm. He doesn’t have to eat my own creatures. I usually just eat opponents creatures for graveyard hate. The new muldrotha commander is just too nuts in my opinion. I could see it being pretty miserable to play against so I think I’ll keep with mimeo so my friends don’t get too tired of playing the deck lol

Thanks for the comment and liking the deck, let me know if you have anymore questions! :)
