Ruin Crab with Fabled Passage is a mill machine. Maddening Cacophony is great on turn two to activate Relic Golem , Vantress Gargoyle , and Into the Story . Maddening Cacophony on turn six with its kicker cost can be great if mill looks like a viable strategy. Obsessive Stitcher to ditch Sphinx Mindbreaker and bring it back works surprisingly well in testing. Relic Golem and Vantress Gargoyle can also help you self mill at times which increases the chances of discarding Sphinx Mindbreaker . Obsessive Stitcher is also useful for bringing back Relic Golem against control decks, and helps cycle cards to get what you need in your hand.

Drown in the Loch and Heartless Act provide exceptional control.

Merfolk Windrobber originally felt like a natural choice here, but in testing was not providing the expected value. Bloodchief's Thirst proved a better option, helping for control during the early game. It's also a cheap option on large token creatures and has flexibility with its kicker option.
