A Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest budget combo deck that relies on maintaining a board and using those cards to get to the main combo.

The combo consists on having a sac outlet + a creature with persist and a way to make use of those infinite death triggers. Generally all combo pieces can be obtained with Protean Hulk Examples: Ashnod's Altar + Putrid Goblin + Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest make for infinite colorless mana Viscera Seer + Putrid Goblin + Bastion of Remembrance + Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest Drain your opponents for infinite life

Although the deck relies on combo, it has backup plans as Torment of Hailfire or simply attacking to death as we can abuse sacrificing creatures thanks to Nightmare Shepherd , Pawn of Ulamog and Sifter of Skulls to generate lots of +1/+1 counters and colorless mana thanks to the eldrazi tokens.

The cards on the maybeboard are ones more focused on getting to the combo: Rain of Filth allows us to get more explosive turns and obtain the necessary mana for a game winning Torment of Hailfire , and synergizes well with the commander. Melira, Sylvok Outcast is a substitute for our commander that can be assembled along the combo with Protean Hulk , getting ourselves Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Putrid Goblin + Zulaport Cutthroat if we have a sac outlet in play. Lesser Masticore and Rendclaw Trow are for having more persist options in the deck and to give us access to them easily but are generally worse than Puppeteer's Clique and Putrid Goblin
