Building big token strats with Sap tokens, army buffing, and a +1/+1 counter sub theme. It is mostly budget friendly, I added a few cards I have in my collection, anywhere it is not i will list some budget alternatives if I can.
Wincons:
Anointed Procession + Ashnod's Altar + Slimefoot, the Stowaway
:
- Tap 4 mana to create two Saps.
- Sac Saps to altar creating 4 .
- Create 2 Saps with Slimefoot.
- Repeat till everyone else is dead.
This is an easy combo, but is easily broken up. Having either another 4 mana available or two other creatures to sac to the altar will keep this going even if they target any piece with removal.
Ashnod's Altar + Geralf's Messenger + Ghave, Guru of Spores
:
- Sac the messenger to the altar for .
- Undying triggers bringing the messenger back with a +1/+1 counter.
- Use on of the floating to remove the counter from the messenger.
- Sac the messenger to the Altar.
This results in infinite life loss, infinite , and infinite Sap tokens. Any Undying creature can fill the messenger slot if you are looking for a replacement. This combo is a little harder to protect, there are two counterspells in the deck but they are not blue so they are conditional. best to only go for this combo if you can guarantee the win.
Life and Limb + Sporemound
:
- Play a land
- The game ends in a draw.
So this is a bit cheeky but if you ever just want to mess with the table. With LaL on the board every Forest is a Sap and every Sap is a Forest ie a land. Sporemound sees a land entering the battlefield and triggers landfall which creates a Sap token. LaL sees that token and makes it a Forest. Sporemound now sees that token as a Land and triggers Landfall again. Unless someone has instant speed removal for Sporemound, the triggers never end locking the game into an unwinnable condition and therefore a draw. To turn this into a win for you add either
Altar of the Brood

Altar of Dementia
, or
Blasting Station
.
Token Army turned sideways.
The deck has many ways of creating Sap tokens and buffing the entire army.
Glorious Anthem

Gaea's Anthem

Cathars' Crusade

Eldrazi Monument
and
Akroma's Memorial
will give your little dudes the buffs they need to smash face for the win.
Good Stuff
The best value cards in the deck are broken down into Token generators, Counter doublers, Mana pump and Card draw value.

etc. The deck runs one of each of the Thalids to generate Saporlings. Sporesower adds extra spore counters and the Ancient generates Saps for two counter instead of three. Now PL is a pricey card and the deck can and will function without it, however if you are looking for a cheaper alternative grab

Doubling Season
is just a super add to the deck, but the $60+ price tag is really bad.

I Hear You Like Counters
So other then the previously mentioned Season and Primal, there are a handful of creatures and enchants that can add or straight double counters on your creatures or permanents.
Corpsejack Menace
and
Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider
double them. card:Harden Scales,
Winding Constrictor
,
Pir, Imaginative Rascal
, and
Conclave Mentor
will add plus one.

Mana Nerds
In the deck we run a few mana producers as well as some of the more efficient mana rocks.
Cryptic Trilobite
and card:Crystaline Crawler to make use of the +1/+1 counters.
Utopia Mycon
can sac Saps to make colored mana, and the previous mentioned
Ashnod's Altar
and
Life and Limb
to ramp us. If you have the money for it or happen to have one lying around
Phyrexian Altar
and
Growing Rites of Itlimoc
slot perfectly into the deck.

Gas Station
So ya need cards to keep your hand full and to draw into win cons. Starting off card:Visera Seer will basically filter the top card of your deck for an answer and functions as a sac outlet for the aristo effects.
Moldervine Reclamation
will not only keep our hand full but also heal us up a bit, pairs well with both
Dark Prophecy
and
Skullclamp
. Alternatively
Psychotrope Thallid
and
Thallid Soothsayer
both can act as a sac and draw engine.
Fecundity
and
Fungal Plots
will work over time in this deck, as well as
Shamanic Revelation
and
Collective Unconscious
. If you have the money or again have the card lying around,
The Great Henge
does everything this deck likes netting you and 2 life as well as draws you a card and puts a +1/+1 counter on any non-token critters you cast.
So this is in NO way a cEDH deck, it's power level may be round 5, but it should be fun and interesting. I am sure there are plenty of cards that can and will improve the deck.
