This deck is meant for group Commander games and has the main goal of making your opponents attack each other with Goad and eliminate one another, eventually leading you to a 1-v-1 with an easy finishing move or two. This is super fun to play with and games quickly get rowdy as players are forced to attack with key creatures almost every turn or round.

With Marisi, Breaker of the Coil as your commander the main objective every turn is to get combat damage through to one of your opponents. The tech to boost this possibility to an almost guaranteed point or two of combat damage is through using creatures with Shadow, such as Soltari Visionary and Soltari Crusader. With this basic attack strategy each turn you will hopefully have your opponents attacking each other every round soon after the start of the game.

As the game progresses hopefully some combo pieces and/or some legendary creatures start showing up. This is where things get even more fun. One of the best early draws is Captain Sisay which will let you have a legendary drop every turn for quite awhile. With this option you can go one of several directions:

Token generation - Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor and Rite of the Raging Storm are good to get start generating tokens your opponent(s) control that cannot attack you due to both Goad from Marisi and their own subtext. These paired with Blazing Archon and Bedlam will ensure you have little to worry from opponents for quite some time as they will be busy worrying about what is headed their way.

Strong defense with a strong counterattack - If you're facing a token deck, or just someone else with some nasty enchantments, this will be your best friend. Lightmine Field mixed with Opalescence will stop large scale offensive towards you if you cannot trigger Goad for some reason. This also makes opponent enchantments vulnerable now that they are creatures. Equip Basilisk Collar + Lightmine Field and attack to wipe the board of all things that dare attack you.

Infinite Soldiers (with haste) - A simple, yet effective 2-turn combo is with Shielded by Faith + Siona, Captain of the Pyleas to create as many tokens as you like. If you happened to draw Crashing Drawbridge or Concordant Crossroads you can attack right away, otherwise keep your fingers crossed an opponent doesn't have a board wipe for their single turn response.

Infinite life and/or damage! - Both options require Heliod, Sun-Crowned, so you'll either get lucky enough to decide with the couple tutors in the deck or just get luck of the draw. For infinite life you'll need Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Spike Feeder and simply remove a +1/+1 counter to gain 2 life...and then get a counter right back from Heliod! If you happen to pull Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista then you can do the same +1/+1 counter maneuver but deal 1 damage to any target each time instead (of course you'll need to give the ballista lifelink first). I was driven to add these combos after several long commander games with pillow fort and stax decks that couldn't make a kill...sometimes you just need a good way to end it when your opponents creatures just aren't doing it for you or when playing against high life gain decks.
