Many suitor are presenting themselves to Marchesa, even her enemies promise to serve her, hoping to wed the future queen, but few will survive this endeavor.

I originaly built this deck around the different Nicol Bolas planeswalker cards, with many cards copying their abilities, such as control of my opponent creatures, card discarding and mass destruction. However the real Nicol Bolas makes for a poor and costly commander so I selected Marchesa, the Black Rose instead since she will enable me to keep control of both my own and my opponent creatures for a long time.

To benefit from marchesa dethrone ability granted to all my creatures and the fact that they return on the battlefield upon death. I've put some card that grant haste (Anger, Fervor, Hammer of Purphoros). Marchesa third ability can also allow my creatures to survive a mass destruction such as Damnation or Hour of Devastation . Finally, I've put a lot of creature with come into play effect to maximize Marchesa thirs ability, and if she's not in play, there is a Conjurer's Closet.

I've put a Swarm Intelligence and Mirari despite having only 19 Instant/Sorcery. The Diluvian Primordial, Mindclaw Shaman and Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh should augment that number a bit.
