Maybeboard

Permeating Mass is a catastrophically fun card in Commander. This deck wants to take as much advantage of as many copies of Permeating Mass as possible.

The first thing we'll need to do for that is find it. Chord of Calling, Eldritch Evolution, Fauna Shaman, Yisan, the Wanderer Bard, Congregation at Dawn, Uncage the Menagerie, and Hibernation's End can all grab the Mass out of your deck.

There are all kinds of tricks you can play with a Mass on the board. Mirrorweave can bust two boards in half when played mid-combat. Polymorphous Rush and Cytoshape are the next logical steps down, and both of them have fantastic utility. Cytoshape can be straight removal, and both can create two-for-ones that leave behind a Permeating Mass, grant your creatures extra utility, and so much more.

While we're on the topic of copying, let's talk about Progenitor Mimic. If you use it to target Permeating Mass, as many people on forums have pointed out, nontoken creatures that the Permeating Mimic and its tokens deal damage to will create tokens. This can help your opponents, but in the long run will spread more Masses around the table and neutralize threats across the board.

Tempt with Reflections throws Masses around the board. Rite of Replication can give you a wall of Masses if you can't find anything better to use it on. Followed Footsteps and Helm of the Host can tick up your Mass count and multiply bigger bombs. Infinite Reflection does the same thing, and the deck packs the likes of Master Biomancer, Wayfaring Temple, and Master of the Wild Hunt to make it even more deadly. Another fantastic target, Whisperwood Elemental, also brings along nontoken creatures for the Reflection and 2/2s with lots of uses. Its friend Primordial Mist provides similar advantage, and its utility is helpful since the deck is a bit creature-light despite all the tokens.

The commanders are mostly for colour identity. Thrasios, Triton Hero gives us some legitimate ramp and digging power, and Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa can help a field of Masses or tokens push through in the late game.
