Trying to assemble a lifegain deck for EDH keeping below a budget of @50€. First pass I have managed (land excluded) to make this for 14EUR.

The intention of the deck is to build up big creatures using lifegain mechanics and utilising on Lathiel''s unicorn magic to add counters to creates and pump up more life and biggest creatures. finally finishing off my opponents by beating them around with my life total and big hitters.

Intention is for a budget casual deck, not a expensive competitive deck.

Update 1.

I think I found a happier balance for the deck now that I like. In the first prototype the deck was a little too low on options to gain life to benefit from the counters.

Current balance is; 18 cards that benefit from counters 17 life gain outlets 7 lifelink creatures or outlets

Not been able to playtest this live yet, so not sure how it will stand up. But it will be pitted against my usual friends (1 competitive deck player, 1 preconstructed player, 1 semi-competitive player) not expecting miracles considering the cost of the deck, but it should be a fun play. While update after the first game.

Update.

Deck was played in it's first game last night (05/05) REALLY impressed with how it held up, Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn was on the board enchanted with Light of Promise alongside him was Azban Falconer lifegain was really building up as each attack buffed Lathiel and the Falconer in turn, one of my opponents saw the threat and before swinging with Lathiel so 12 commander damage and later a potential 12 additional +1/+1 counters Beast Within was played and i had not options for response.

I thought it would be tough to rebuild, but then i had an awesome next turn Storm Herd (while i was at 31 Life) gave me 31 pegasus tokens, followed by Pledge of Unity giving me 31 life, and +1/+1 on the tokens too, swiftly followed with a Inspiring Call giving me 31 cards to draw (this was as a response to a potential board wipe, with 62 damage in the air ready to go, 2 of my opponents were taken out, while i managed to get myself up to 75 life and finished the game with Evra, Halcyon Witness

REALLY REALLY impressed with the deck!
