The goal of the deck is to abuse the combo between Roiling Vortex and Suspend/Delay. Both Suspend and Delay are already good cards on their own (although there are better options) but with Roiling Vortex they burn the opponent for five in addition to their other abilities. Roiling Vortex also punishes anyone running the evoke elementals (Grief, Fury ect.), anyone playing Affinity as well as many other popular modern cards/decks. The rest of the deck plays as a more typical (although budget) UR deck. Consider and Expressive Iteration help find the combo pieces. Galvanic Iteration and Sea Gate Stormcaller can copy Suspend/Delay for extra burn. Chandra, Acolyte of Flame can recast them from the graveyard and do a little bit of extra damage. Bonecrusher Giant acts as an alternate wincon. This deck is still in the experimental stages. It doesn't yet have a consistent win condition for when you don't draw Roiling Vortex so I would love feedback on that.Please leave feedback and an upvote.
