Livio’s first ability allows you to exile your own creatures. His second ability allows you to return those creatures to the battlefield.

The key mechanic in this deck is to use lots of permanents with “enter the battlefield” (ENTB) abilities. Allowing these permanents to leave and re-enter the battlefield multiple times can trigger and re-trigger powerful abilities for dynamic gameplay each turn.

Early drops like Spirited Companion, Lunarch Veteran  |Luminous Phantom  , and Ninth Bridge Patrol, wall of mourning provide for effective draw mechanics early on, life gain, and a big strong grower.
