Mardu Mashup: Lifegain (in big chunks, to facilitate casting Licia), Lifedrain (to chip away and enable more Licia), Voltron (cuz Licia will get HUGE), Blood magic (paying life to empower our plans), and some counters too boot (cuz math skillz).

My playgroup has decided to implement arbitrary rarity restrictions in our deckbuilding. We're capped at 10x Mythics, 20x Rares, 30x Uncommons, all including our Commanders and lands. You can trade down in rarity, 1:1, and the lowest printing ever is what counts, regardless of what's sleeved up.

Combos

Some fun interactions I've built in and discovered:
- Vizkopa Guildmage + Tithe Drinker. One of my favorite mid-game combinations to really lay down some heat. It takes some mana to pull off, but it puts an otherwise dead-draw late-game Signet into a really good play.
- Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood. A classic combo, each of these two parts is effective on its own in our scheme.
- Chandra's Ignition + Tainted Sigil + Any beefy creature. Massive amounts of lifegain. Get absurd by connecting this with a beefy creature with Lifelink.
- Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top + Aetherflux Reservoir. This one will end the game if not interrupted, allowing you to build up a 'storm count' for one or more deathstar lasers.
- Aetherflux Reservoir + Exquisite Blood. Pay 50 life, deal 50 damage, get 50 life back.
- Exsanguinate + Treasonous Ogre. Use your own life to fuel up a giant swing in life totals. Watch out for counterspells, though; keep that Red Elemental Blast handy if going all-out.
