Maybeboard

Why are people not hyped about Thantis, the Warweaver? Finally a combat matters Jund Commander that does something cool, but not devastating. This deck is built to have a strong board and to weave a war in which you have the greatest advantage. Thantis, the Warweaver's combo is to force everything to swing (very underrated) and discourage your opponents from swinging on you. The flavor is the best part of any spider creature card, and hers is no different. Incite them to fury, and all the while, you sit back in your gossamer web and wait to feed on the exhausted survivor.

The main goal here is to give your opponents the creatures and the tool to do combat and to then force them into it. At that point they have to decide if they want to swing at you (potentially the one most prepared for combat, and the one who will punish them for it most), or if they will swing at another opponent. Either way, you are getting the benefit. Below I have listed some sections that show how I am accomplishing what needs to be accomplished, how I am mitigating the potential threats, and where the redundancy is.

There will be times when your opponents are tempted to swing at you, and one big spider won't be enough to stop them. This section lists out the reasons why they should hesitate. It is important to note here that many of the cards that give tokens to your opponents or change combat are targeted, so if there is one person that insists on still swinging at you, you could always just stop giving them stuff and then arm the other players. Proxy wars aren't pretty, but they work. Arachnogenesis Benefactor's Draught Dread Druid's Call Fumiko the Lowblood Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs Koskun Falls Pariah's Shield Quest for Renewal Sandwurm Convergence Seedborn Muse Slumbering Dragon Sower of Discord Vigor Vitalize Whip of Erebos
Combat matters when you are playing this deck, and that goes for you too. Since all creatures have to attack every turn, its reasonable to assume that there won't be many blockers around, and that you can get some good benefits from swinging. Breath of Fury Curse of Opulence Druid's Call Grand Warlord Radha Grenzo, Havoc Raiser Harvest Season Neheb, the Eternal Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor Overwhelming Stampede Living Hive Giant Adephage Virtus the Veiled Spawnwrithe Insurrection
Your greatest fear in this deck is an ill-timed board wipe that blows out all the pieces of this grand web you've constructed. This section keeps you in the game. Cauldron of Souls Grave Betrayal Heroic Intervention Revel in Riches Vigor
