This is my relatively budget-friendly Kykar Tokens and Anthems deck based largely on the original decklist created by Mitch on Commander's Quarters (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urHwRp1RXLY) (thanks!).

I've reduced the sheer number of anthem-style enchantments included in Mitch's deck to make space for more utility cards, ramp and answers. I've found in my play group that people target Kykar essentially immediately and relentlessly which can make this deck fairly hard to win with unless the commander is protected (and thus the multiple equipments and enchantments for that purpose.) We have a Kaalia of the Vast player in our group with a very optimized and decidedly not-budget friendly deck, which I suspect has conditioned everyone else into thinking that all Commanders must be removed immediately.

Obviously, the mana base is not "optimized" for budget reasons, as I have no interest/ability to spend $1,000+ more to avoid taplands...Also, I focused more on trying to make this deck more "fun" and somewhat aggressive to its own detriment. I understand that it would almost certainly benefit from being a more control-oriented strategy with plenty of more counter spells, but that was a conscious choice to avoid (and not only for the obvious budget reason of avoiding expensive counters such as Force of Will.

The only non-budget friendly cards in the deck, such as Cyclonic Rift, Sensei's Divining Top and Enlightened Tutor I will admit to being lucky enough to either own from prior experiences or lucking enough to trade into.
