K'rriks living on the edge

Commander / EDH Mono-Black

kryptonsfinest

Tried a fairly competitive K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth deck that can win, but is still fun to pilot with multiple strategies. I stayed away from the doomsday combo that I had seen in other C-EDH decks because it just don't feel like a fun way to play, and I don't like to put all my eggs in 1 basket so fast. Main win con will be to get out Aetherflux Reservoir + Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top to build up life with Atherflux Reservoir by putting Sensei's Divining Top on top of my deck and casting it over and over again with Bolas's Citadel gaining life and spending it to deal 50 damage at a time to each opponent. Tendrils of Agony can be used in place of Aetherflux Reservoir, but you have to keep in mind that you won't gain life until after it resolves so don't get your life total so low that you can get picked off by a burn spell or 2. I also threw in the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo because the the life gain and loss aspect works so well in this deck. K'rrik himself can be a win con if you pump him up enough and get the commander damage through. The rest of the deck is rounded out by Ramp, card draw, tutors, and life link support.
